STUDIO PILATES

ABOUT 

With a restorative and rehabilitative interest, Emily is a highly experienced Pilates teacher with ten years of experience teaching the Pilates Method with a clinical, somatic and contemporary approach to movement training. She enjoys to engage deeply with the human body by bringing awareness, anatomical interest, ease of movement and a sense of mind-body integration with her clients.

 

Emily studied her Diploma of Professional Pilates Instruction with Pilates International Training  Center at Aligned for Life in Melbourne, and was was mentored by movement experts Katrina Edwards, Sarah Colquhuon and Wendy Smith. She also studied a Bachelor of Dance, and through an integrated practice in somatic movement training at the Victorian College of the Arts with Kinetic Studies professor Wendy Smith, Emily went on to work alongside her, together  with a team of allied health professionals at Studio 202 Pilates and Movement Practices, as well as with Sara Colquhoun in South Melbourne, and several other Pilates and physiotherapy clinics in Melbourne. Emily is also a certified Yin Yoga teacher.

 

She is now based in Berlin and runs studio classes in her own studio in Kreuzkölln, as well as in other studios throughout the city.
